Speaking for those that cannot speak for themselves
Our Knights of Columbus Blessed Sacrament Council #1412 has been a partner in progress with our local Right To Life Kent (RTLK) “movement” since their inception into the Chatham environs; decades of dedication! April 8 was the RTLK Annual Dinner where the community of organizations, companies and individuals came together to present their annual donation to RTLK torture represent the importance of the continuance of their critically important work in the Communities of Chatham-Kent.
Joined by fellow Knight from Council #1412, Sir Knight Pierre Cadotte, we proudly represented the Knights and demonstrated our love of the cause of the sanctity of all life and support needed by local families post an abortion decision and post a decision to birth the baby. Combined with another Partner Organization, Safe Families Chatham-Kent a new dynamic of how to help support the families that go through RTLK + REFUGE (pregnancy services) + LIFE IN MOTION, all available in a coordinated effort in Chatham-Kent. This is a model many other communities should consider replicating!
Pictured is Sir Knight Steve Brent of Knight’s Blessed Sacrament Council #1412 presenting $1,000 cheque from our Council to the incoming new President of RTLK. A blessing to help bring part of this movement-bringing a strong voice for those that cannot speak for themselves, the unborn. Such a blessing indeed to be part of this amazing process of helpfulness to those in this need in our communities. Please consider volunteer opportunities with these organizations, so much help is needed and they’ll work hard to ensure you’re placed in a volunteer role that meets your every need!!! Blessings all!!! SK Steve Brent, cell 519-360-7814.
