DNA Adoption Search & Resources (Canada)

For the past 10+ years, I have been involved with a network of volunteer search angels and DNA searchers who help adoptees navigate the often confusing adoption disclosure systems in every province. Most provinces now offer some type of adoption information to adoptees and birth/natural parents, and even to other family members under specific circumstances. Also, with the advent of DNA, many adoptees have found their birth families even before receiving their original birth certificates (identifying info), and non-identifying information (social histories). This group will provide the paths to adoption disclosure, through the provinces' disclosure laws, as well as through DNA testing paths. Often goes on sale. http://myheritage.com FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA): Can upload your DNA to FTDNA for free, or you can test there. Has many European testers as well as the usual USA/Canadian testers.
