š Chatham Community We Could Really Use a Little Help š
We are getting ready to launch the STEAM Adventure Club through STEAM Access Initiative, starting Tuesday, November 3 for children ages 6+. Through donations and sponsorships, we have been able to reduce the regular cost of $18 per session down to just $7.99 per child so that more local families can afford to participate.
Right now, we have enough funding to get the program started but the biggest challenge is simply getting the word out and getting enough children registered.
We could spend some of our limited funding on online advertising, but every dollar we spend on advertising is a dollar that cannot be used to subsidize a child's place in the program. We would much rather put that money directly toward helping families.
That is why we are reaching out to the community for a little kindness and volunteer support. ā¤ļø
We currently need help in 3 simple ways:
Flyer Volunteers ā Help us hand out flyers to parents, families, workplaces, community groups or during evenings and weekends. Even handing out a small number can make a difference.
Online Sharing Volunteers ā Help us share, repost and spread our program posts through Facebook groups, community pages, workplaces and your own social networks.
Tuesday Evening Program Volunteers ā We are looking for people who may be able to help with our STEAM programming on Tuesdays from approximately 5:00ā7:00 PM.
You don't have to commit to everything. Even helping for an hour, sharing one post, or handing out a few flyers helps us reach another family.
We also want to be transparent: if we cannot get enough registrations in Chatham, the program may have to be paused or moved to another community where there is greater demand. We truly want to keep it here and grow it for Chatham families, but we need the community to help us show that the need is here.
Sometimes helping a child doesn't require a large donation. It can simply mean sharing a post, handing a parent a flyer, or giving a couple of hours of your time.
If you would like to volunteer, please comment below or send us a message. And even if you cannot volunteer, please share this post ā that alone would mean a great deal to us.

Thank you, Chatham, for helping us give more children the opportunity to build, create, experiment, engineer and discover.
