Our Commitment to the Community

Every day, the Your Kindness Corner community — including members, moderators, and support staff — works together to make Your Kindness Corner a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for people who care about kindness, connection, and positive impact.

These Community Guidelines are designed to support our shared goal of pushing kindness forward while honoring the diverse passions, stories, perspectives, and lived experiences of our members.

Your Kindness Corner is a place to:

  • Share ideas and stories
  • Get inspired
  • Build meaningful connections
  • Participate respectfully in community dialogue

We are committed to creating and maintaining a space that prioritizes safety, dignity, diversity, and inclusion.

Who These Guidelines Apply To

These Community Guidelines apply to everyone on Your Kindness Corner, including:

  • Members
  • Group and forum administrators
  • Moderators
  • Support staff

We may update these guidelines from time to time to address emerging behaviors, risks, or community needs. Continued participation in the community indicates acceptance of the most current version.

Moderation Philosophy

Your Kindness Corner enforces these Community Guidelines using a combination of:

  • Automated moderation systems
  • Human moderation
  • Community reporting tools

We encourage members to report content they believe violates these guidelines. Reports help surface content for review and action but do not, on their own, determine final outcomes.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban members or devices involved in serious or repeated violations.

Public-Interest Exceptions

We recognize that some content which might otherwise be removed under these guidelines may serve a legitimate public interest.

In limited circumstances, we may allow content for purposes such as:

  • Educational or documentary use
  • Scientific or research discussion
  • Newsworthy reporting
  • Satire or artistic expression
  • Counter-speech or contextual discussion of harmful ideas

These decisions are made case-by-case, with careful consideration of intent, context, and potential harm.

Participating in the Your Kindness Corner Community

Respect One Another

Treat fellow members with care, patience, and respect. Everyone belongs here — whether they are new, long-standing members, volunteers, moderators, or staff.

Be Constructive

When offering feedback or comments, aim to be helpful, clear, and kind. If someone asks for input, put yourself in their shoes and respond thoughtfully.

Be Human

Engage authentically. Avoid behaviors that feel automated, spam-like, or disingenuous, such as mass-posting identical comments, engaging without reading group rules, or using the platform solely for self-promotion.

Use Platform Tools Responsibly

Manage groups, forums, and features thoughtfully. Do not use Your Kindness Corner to:

  • Spam or solicit improperly
  • Host illegal content
  • Promote unsafe, exploitative, or deceptive activity
  • Circumvent moderation or reporting tools

Misuse of platform tools may result in restricted access or account action.

Zero-Tolerance Behaviors

We do not tolerate:

  • Hate speech
  • Harassment or bullying
  • Threats to safety or privacy
  • Intimidation or abuse
  • Content that intentionally disrupts or excludes others

Respecting All Interests & Identities

Your Kindness Corner is a diverse community made up of people with different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, identities, and interests.

Respect all interests and passions. When engaging with content:

  • Be curious
  • Be inclusive
  • Participate positively

Disrespect, mockery, or exclusion of others' identities or interests is not permitted.

Reporting Content

All community features — including posts, profiles, comments, groups, and forums — include reporting tools.

When reporting content, members may select categories such as:

  • Sexually inappropriate content
  • Nudity or sexual exploitation
  • Harassment or bullying
  • Hate speech
  • Violence or threats
  • Terrorism or extremist content
  • Misinformation or deceptive content
  • Spam or scams
  • Other guideline violations

Reports are reviewed using automated systems and, where appropriate, human moderation.

Enforcement & Automatic Moderation

Automatic Content Removal

To help protect the community and limit potential harm, Your Kindness Corner uses automatic moderation thresholds.

When a post, comment, or other content receives three (3) independent reports from community members, the content is automatically removed from public view by our moderation system.

Automatic removal:

  • Is a temporary safety measure
  • Does not represent a final determination that the content violates these Community Guidelines
  • Helps reduce potential harm while review occurs

Review & Follow-Up

After automatic removal:

  • Content may be reviewed by moderation systems and/or human moderators
  • Context, intent, and potential guideline violations are assessed
  • Outcomes may include:
    • Restoration of content
    • Permanent removal
    • Educational reminders or warnings
    • Temporary feature restrictions
    • Account suspension or permanent ban

In cases involving severe, clearly harmful, or repeated violations, enforcement action may be taken immediately without prior notice.

We reserve the right to adjust reporting thresholds, review processes, and enforcement actions as needed to protect the integrity of the community.

Final Note

These Community Guidelines outline the expectations for participating in Your Kindness Corner. They exist to protect the community — not to limit expression, but to ensure that expression happens safely, respectfully, and in a way that reflects our shared values.

Thank you for being here, for showing up with kindness, and for helping create a space where people feel welcome, heard, and inspired.
